The Way to Great Faith
Great Faith: Believe, Speak, Understand Authority
Great faith believes God and speaks. “Don’t even come to my house; say it from right there, and I will believe your word.” He understood authority. You have authority in Christ. My authority causes things in my life to change. I don’t just read it—I see it manifested.
The “Cheap” Way to Great Faith
The cheap way to get great faith: preaching. Hear the Word preached. He heard something about Jesus Christ. You hear it, receive it, believe it, and act on it. “I take You at Your Word.” Preaching isn’t natural—it’s a supernatural gift. When the Spirit of the Lord is upon someone, things begin to change.
“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor.” (Isaiah 61, as quoted)
What Preaching Produces
You have to preach something. People who heard the gospel came out of poverty, off Section 8, started businesses, went to Bible school, and into ministry. It’s not just aid that changes a life—it’s the hearing of faith preached by the gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “I’ll come.” Then the man said, “Just send the word.” Receive the Word of the Lord: from today on, you will not lack. You will be fully supplied with running over in abundance for others.
Set the Captives Free
It’s not the medicine people need—it’s the medicine of God’s Word preached that sets them free. Bring them to the meeting, sit them under the Word, and watch minds restored. The power of God will change any person—no matter the captivity.
The Lord’s Favor
Say it: I have the favor of the Lord. Favor looks like doors opening that shouldn’t, lines parting, and “We can’t” turning into “We will.” God goes with the goers, not the sitters. Step out. Faith says, “Go.”
“He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.” (Isaiah 61, as quoted)
Joyous Blessing
Stop saying, “I’m cursed. I’m out of money. I’m barely getting by.” You are blessed with Abraham’s blessing. The blessing of the Lord makes a man rich and adds no sorrow with it. It’s a joyous blessing—wake up laughing, smiling at your family, and thanking God. And God says, “I have more than that.”
