Benefits of Serving God: Living the Rich, Satisfying Life

When you come into church and begin to understand your life as a Christian, you realize you were called to do something great for God in this earth. It will take both an understanding and a power that comes from the Word of God to see it fulfilled in your lifetime.

Too often, people can point to moments or experiences in church, but cannot point to a biblical foundation they walked out in their lives. That’s the frustration: without the Word as your anchor, your Christian walk blends into the world around you. But the more light you receive from God’s Word, the more your life will look different than the world’s.

Jesus said:

“I have come that they may have life, and have it more abundantly.”
— John 10:10 (NLT)

That’s not optional. That’s the life He came to give you — a life above sin, above temptation, above defeat.

Walking in Victory

When you’re first saved, you may think, “I don’t know how anyone can live in victory over sin.” But as you continue in the Word, keep showing up to church, keep praying, and keep listening to the preaching of faith, the light comes on. Suddenly, what once bound you no longer has a hold.

The Bible says:

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)

The old you is dead. You’re born again. You no longer live like the world lives.

There Are Benefits

Psalm 103 declares:

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities; Who heals all your diseases; Who redeems your life from destruction; Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfies your mouth with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”
— Psalm 103:2-5 (KJV)

Benefits of serving Christ:

  • Forgiveness of sin

  • Healing of disease

  • Redemption from destruction

  • Renewal of strength

  • A satisfied life

God doesn’t leave His children struggling. Just as Israel left Egypt loaded with silver and gold and without one feeble person among them, God has benefits prepared for His people today.

A Call to Move Forward

Deuteronomy 1:6 says:

“You have stayed at this mountain long enough. It is time to break camp and move on.” (NLT)

At Ambassador Global Church, God gave us this Word in the beginning of the year: it’s time to move. We are not called to stay still — we are called to take territory. That’s why we press forward into new towns and cities across New Hampshire.

Every believer is a part of this vision. From setting up chairs, to greeting, to inviting co-workers and neighbors, you are part of God’s plan to reach New Hampshire. Together, we are fishers of men.

Romans 10 reminds us:

“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (NKJV)

This is our message: Jesus is alive, and He offers salvation, healing, deliverance, and abundant life.

Possess the Land

Psalm 37 says:

“For the wicked shall be cut off; but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth… the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.” (KJV)

Part of your covenant as a believer is to possess the land. God doesn’t call His people to stay small. You are called to peace, prosperity, and influence.

Conclusion

Christianity was never meant to be a religion — it is a life. A rich, satisfying life in Christ, overflowing with benefits, peace, prosperity, and the power of God.

From today on, declare:

  • I will not stay small.

  • I will possess the land.

  • I will live in the benefits of God.

  • I will be a fisher of men.

And as you do, your life will shine as a witness to this world — proof that Jesus is alive.
